Waking the Fallen: Resurrected (Deluxe Version) Tracklist:
This is BY FAR my favorite Avenged Sevenfold album! It is the first one I heard and I was hooked from the intro! LOVE all the extras...live and demo tracks! Nice touch!! Can't wait to see A7X live this Summer with Metallica, Volbeat, and Gojira!
Coming from a City of Evil fan, this album caught my attention when I heard the title "Waking the Fallen: Resurrected" This song is what got me started with this album, and led me to love almost every song! Many of the songs are great. One reason why I enjoyed City of Evil was because of the toned back screaming. I've never been a fan of death metal, but screaming here and there isn't half bad. My favorite track has to be "And All Things Will End" The fact that part of the songs melody near the end was a part of the track "Waking the Fallen: Resurrected" was amazing and shocked me. This album is a great buy, but I personally don't like the live tracks with the album.
If this is the pinnacle of todays rock music it might be dead after all. The lead singer is awful and the music a 5 year old can play. I usually dont like to trash music as to each his own but, this is pretty bad.
I discovered Avenged Sevenfold a little over two years ago now and from the minute I heard Chapter Four, I knew I had found my favorite band. Their story is so inspiring to make others want to try as hard as they did and that's what I think the best part is, the legacy they're leaving behind them on their adventure through life.
I went to the album and pressed "complete my album" (I had a few songs from the original album) however, it did not download the songs i have on the old version and wants me to pay for them again. The album is great though!
I'm so proud of you guys, I know this album is just a remastered waking the fallen, I'm still proud. Every time I doubt you guys, I'm automatically pulled back in. Also really glad to have Jimmy as a bigger piece of this album, I really miss him. Nice job guys, you never cease to amaze me.
So many memories Love what they have done I've been listening to them since I was 6 years old!! My first album I heard from them was waking the fallen And still I'm a mega fan of A7X!!!!!!!
Well, I’m a little confused, a friend told me this album was going to have re-done, higher quality studio tracks of the original Waking the Fallen. But apparently, there is just a few live tracks (which are alright) and a little demo stuff. Not overly impressed, as i honestly don’t understand releasing this without actually, professionally redoing ALL of their old songs. I think that would have made a lot more sense. But still, it is cool to hear all this live stuff, and demos. Just, i don’t think it should be an album of itself. (if that makes any sense)
This album is truly for fans new to Avenged Sevenfold. Having said that, the demos/videos/documentary make the purchase worth it for fans who already own the original album. I love that the band didn't remaster it. By not doing so, the old-school energy is preserved. This album shows the band as it began to evolve into what the band that they are today. The tracks are raw, wild, and truly all musical journeys. For new fans, this will be a bit of a shock, due to the large amount of screaming (it's hard to believe that it's Matt screaming his head off). It's not nearly as polished as the major label A7X (City of Evil and on...) but that's what makes it so enjoyable. This is 5 guys going all out on their respective instruments, trying to find themselves as musicians. My personal favorites (off of the original album) are Unholy Confessions, Second Heartbeat, and Radient Eclipse. As far as the bonus songs...it's crazy to hear the Chapter 4 demo and how it sounds NOTHING like the final version (a few parts are the same). Also, the full version of "Waking the Fallen: Resurrected" has the intro of a certain hit off of City of Evil (piano vs guitar). ENJOY!
I was thinking of buying the original Waking the Fallen but when i heard this was being released i said "I MUST WAIT" then i bought it and i love it that they didn't remaster because i like the original and i saw they added more, i was not dissapointed for those who think think this is not their best album recorded you are so dead wrong.
The only good thing about this is that it shows how much this band has grown. I would have never purchased this, still won't. I've loved the last two A7X albums. I've heard a few songs off previous albums that I've liked, but as a whole, I don't think they warrant purchasing. It was definitely a wise decision to give up the growling.
For many A7X fans including myself Waking the Fallen was an iconic album to avenged sevenfold as a band. This re-release with many extras is a great way to revitalize the fire behind the bands big mile stone record “Waking the Fallen” this is a must have for any A7X fan!
I wish they would return to their waking the fallen era type of heavier style, but this is just releasing the same album with live performances, remakes of old realeased songs, and outakes. LOVED this album originally, but it just looks to me like the record company or A7X members are trying to get some extra money from their past work. No effort really put into this album and NO new creativity at all. Looks like the record company made this entire thing just to get more of A7X fan's money in their pockets and they're not really returning to their roots.
A7x is my #1band before all others. I got into rock because of these guys, and they are the best out! I finally saw them for the first time at the Nikon jones Beach Theatre in NY during the mayhem festival and they just ripped that stage apart! The performance was literally an experience! And Arin has come along well. Enjoy the album guys! I know I'm getting it! Check out the vids on i.g @louie_clatorre
People keep saying this is the album that started it it all...it's not. This is the second album, albeit one of the best metal core albums ever made. Never the less, "Sounding The Seventh Trumpet" is Avenged Sevenfold's first album, not this one.
Avenged has never stopped to amaze me. Although I must say that Hail to the king wasn’t good at all, but this I am looking forward to. Just two things worry me. 1. Matt doesn’t scream anymore so if he does cleans for this whole album it’ll be horrible 2. Arin cannot re-create the beauty of The Rev’s drums on the first release of this album. Despite those two things, I cannot wait for this to come out. Now I just need an iTunes card so I can pre-order this
