℗ 2014 Bethel Music
Tides Live Tracklist:
I enjoyed Tides, but Tides Live takes the songs to a whole new level. There is something so precious & so powerful about corporate worship, & they were able to capture a glimpse of that with this Live album. Thank you Bethel!
I love how they experimented and pushed their own boundaries in the studio on the original “Tides” album, but this one is far more listenable as it plays on the strength of what is making Bethel Music a juggernaut in the modern worship music scene - their incredible anointing for live worship. Incredibly solid record, draws you into the presence of God.
This album is absolutely incredible. Period. The studio version did not do justice to the songs at all. So glad they came out with a live version! Can't wait to see them in Nashville, TN at the there Worship Night! :)
If you are a fan of the Spirit-filled, passionate worship that comes out of Bethel Church in Redding, CA, or the artists that have come out of that house in recent years, including Jesus Culture, Kim Walker, or Bryan and Katie Torwalt, there's really no need to read any further. This is one of Bethel's strongest albums in years, and trumps 2012's 'For the Sake of The World' in my opinion. This release is also unique in that it features all live renditions of the 'Tides' album from last year, Bethel Music's first foray into producing their own studio album. You'll have to listen to that album to form your own opinion, as I've heard polarizing opinions regarding it, being a huge departure in style from everything that Bethel has released up to that point. 'Tides Live,' however, is easy; if you haven't even listened to the original 'Tides' album, I would still recommend picking this up. The only tracks it's missing from the original release are "Letting Go" and "Tides," (both great tracks) but it takes everything that 'Tides' does well and does it even better. Tides is already lyrically, a very strong album, but the likes of Brian, Jenn, Jeremy, Matt, and the rest BELONG in front of a congregation. The energy and the heart that they bring to the stage simply cannot be replicated in a studio surrounded by studio instruments and without the body of Christ singing along. Sound-wise, Bethel has always done an amazing job of capturing the live experience and from the first track to the last, you're immediately swept up into the worship. The live renditions improve upon the spirit of the original tracks and the spontaneous Spirit-led choruses are incredible. Matt Stinton's already excellent 'Give Me Jesus' actually brought me to my knees. This isn't a definitive review, but if you had to pick between 'Tides Live' and the original 'Tides,' I would highly recommend this album. Bethel returns to incredibly strong form with some of the best new songs they've come out with and the CD itself is an experience to be had. If you can't get out to Redding, I would say this is as close as you can get to being there, and it doesn't disappoint.
I loved Tides but I only had one complaint... It wasn't live. This is live worship, the real thing. Live albums are so much better. I am so thankful for this one. And I got it a lot cheaper than the original Tides Album. This is definitely the BEST place to invest your money, in this new live album by Bethel Music. Hallelujah.
This album includes the same songs from their studio album Tides. But this LIVE album is way different. The way I see it, worship was meant to be heard and sing LIVE. This album includes those raw, and spontaneous worship moments where the congregation sings their own song to God. Every song is deeply moving, and every worship leader are so talented, they lead the congregation with a mighty roar. I listen to this album several times a day. It's that good.
If you liked the studio version then you should definitely get the live or maybe you weren't as crazy for the studio one like me but the live is who they are and it captures how real and raw they are as worship leaders. This album is awesome so buy it!
Amazing worship, but sadly, one of the worst recordings i’ve heard in a while. the mastering seems a bit half cooked. Everything feels terribly flat instead of the wide soundstage you would expect from a good live recording. Still, I’ll recommend it.
I really loved Tides when it came out! I was waiting paitently for the Live album....SO HAPPY it came out today!!! Thank you for your hearts and for putting it to music! I loved Tides, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Tides Live!!!
GUYS JUST SO YOU KNOW YOU ALWAYS SOUND BEST WHEN YOU’RE LIVE! THE ANOINTING THAT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU GUYS TO BE SPONTANEOUS IS WHAT GOD HAS GIFTED YOU GUYS THE MOST! THERE IS SOMETHING THAT CANNOT BE CAPTURED IN A STUDIO THAT CAN BE CAPTURED WHEN ITS LIVE!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS AND CAN’T WAIT TO SEE WHAT IS IN STORE!!! MUCH LOVE. MANY BLESSINGS. & GREAT FAVOR!!!
It’s really something to be able to feel a worship experience through an album. Brought me to my knees. Made the presence of God more noticeable. Thank you so much Bethel Music for continuing this legacy. Also, When are you gonna get JEFF SCHNEEWEIS on a record? Do that!! Soon please. Thanks
You'll LOVE Tides Live." Man, where they right! "Heaven Song" is seriously amazing. My favorite track on the album. I really really like this live album much more than I thought I would :D!
Tides is a good album, but studio albums don't always explore the spontaneous side of worship. Tides Live has taken every song and brought new life into them by filling it with freedom of worship. Loving every song over again.
Well, I didn't really like tides original album....but I LOVE THIS LIVE ALBUM. Can't find which song I like best. I literally get chills with these songs. It literally just breaks chains in my life. It's like complete abandonment wrapped up in each song and it's like instead deliverance and freedom from whatever situation you're in. Idk I can't explain it, it's like being in the presence in Bethel without actual being there in Redding. Man, good job bethel team. You guys seriously touch so many people and carry us through day to day and inspire us to live more abandoned and in complete surrender and freedom. Alleluia and Blessings!!!
I have always loved the bethel worship experiance. The live environment just draws you in so much easier. At any given moment I feel that I can jump right into a worship service with thousands of people and lift the name of Jesus. Live albums are always terrific. Tides would not be complete without a live version. Plus, I got to experiance worshiping to these songs live at my home church in Anaheim Vineyard.
Tides Live is refreshing, powerful, and dynamic. I love the spontaneous moments and space they captured with the live versions of these songs, it evokes a raw response from the heart. The atmosphere and presence around these songs leaves you feeling like anything could happen- compelling.
