One of Gaga’s best albums. It showcases her pain and trauma in these incredible electronic songs. The album was just too soon for this time. I’m so proud of Gaga for learning that this pain can be healed and it will not always last in Chromatica. “We could be together,” became, “We are together.”
This is really one of the most underrated albums EVER. Every song is a masterpiece. She was drug through the mud because of this album and now she is back on top with Shallow and A Star Is Born and now Chromatica, which comes out on may 29th 😉A true queen 🌸
This album is the culmination of art, sex, fashion, culture, and pop. I feel like I transform into a god when I listen to this album. It’s so epic! Hands down the best album that Mother Gaga has ever created.
This experimental pop and electronic/dance album was very different when it came out, at the time radio was filled with soft pop, rap, r&b, and alternative music but Gaga as usual did her own thing and for that reason this album was not as commercially successful as her previous albums. Regardless, this is still a wonderful album.
I know a lot of people love this album.. for me it’s ok. It definitely has some good songs- Applause, Do What You Want (version with Xtina), Gypsy, Manicure, and Dope. I could just never get into the rest. I’ve been a huge fan of her’s for the past decade btw, so this is no hate.
This album will always hold a special spot in my heart as the artRAVE was my first Gaga concert. This album should have been a smash, but it will always remain as a hidden masterpiece amongst her other work. “AURA” is beautifully weird and chaotic with one of the best Gaga choruses of her œuvre. “G.U.Y.” and “Sexxx Dreams” are HOT. The title track is PERFECTION and I cannot get enough of it. It is one of those songs that must be played loud. It was the opener to the artRAVE, which made me happy. I dedicate “Swine” to those I despise and is a good raging song. Aside from ARTPOP, the song, the trifecta goes to “Mary Jane Holland,” “Dope,” and “Gypsy.” “Applause” is a great single and album closer “Jewels and Drugs” is one of the worst songs I have ever heard. “Donatella” is forgettable as is “Fashion.”
